Description
Materials Used: 140lb. Watercolor paper, gloss medium, Kraft Paper from a Whole Foods bag, Montana Map with gesso and acrylic paints, India Ink paper, black and white napkin, Image transfers, hands and standing wooden manikins. Graphite Lyra crayons, glazing medium and wax crayons. Sealed with a layer of UV satin varnished.
Meaning behind the art: I’ve not creating in my custom style in a few weeks, took a break. It’s always good to do that because when you come back you have more to express and offer to you your work. I must admit I missed my time preparing a piece for Tack Down Tuesday’s. As I was assembling the papers, I looked at each one and though about the process that went into creating them and all the choices, uncertain and experimental and to my surprise turned out to be cool. After using my photo image transfer with the faceless people/wooden manikins I was thinking of all of us and the words came, “Here we Stand” What a year and such growth and more to come and do yet. Our personal security and protection mean the world to us now.
