Artist's Description

Materials Used: 140lb. Watercolor paper, Gloss medium, acrylics, Citra Solv paper, painted engineer plans, sanded magazines, brown bag altered with gesso and acrylics, wax pastel crayons, sealed with a layer of UV satin varnished.

Meaning behind the art: This piece I started off in my master collage class, a month ago and hadn’t had a chance to finish it. I’ve been making a slow re-enter to home after a dynamic week in Wisconsin teaching a workshop. Been loving the Citra Solv paper lately that I made about a year ago. I never know when I’ll use a paper that I make…but I’m digging it now. Also it is Memorial Day and to think of our men and women in armed services and what they have done for us…our Freedom.
