Product Details

Purchase a tote bag featuring the mixed media "Think Balance" by Laura Lein-Svencner.   Our tote bags are made from soft, durable, poly-poplin fabric and include a 1" black strap for easy carrying on your shoulder.   All seams are double-stitched for added durability.   Each tote bag is machine-washable in cold water and is printed on both sides using the same image.

Artist's Description

Materials Used: 140lb. Watercolor paper, polymer medium, acrylics, painted and printed deli paper, painted drawing paper, gessoed Kraft paper, machine sewn, glazing medium with acrylic, sealed with a layer of UV satin varnished.

Meaning behind the art: Each morning I pick from a big bowl of rocks that I purchased from the Queen of Arts, http://queen-of-arts.blogspot.com/ I take these little rocks seriously and use there meaning in my life. Today I picked �Balance� and from another cup of affirmations written on small puzzle pieces, the one I picked this morning said �Think�� The husband jokes about me throwing the bones and reading them in the morning like some fortune teller or ancient one, which I�m none of� so with the words of wisdom being chosen this morning I was inspired to Think Balance in my life�also the Baltimore oriole is back in the neighborhood calling out for a mate so the Orange, Black and White have put...

Laura  Lein-Svencner

Bio Laura Lein-Svencner was raised in Downers Grove IL not far from her grandfather’s farm and resides now Darien Illinois for the past 30 years. She’s continued with her personal studies in drawing, printmaking, sculpture, papermaking and collage. Seeking inspiration from one artist to another, Laura has pursued her love of paper; this steady pace of exploration has led her to become a member of many local and international collage groups. She also co-founded the Midwest Collage Society which exhibits throughout the Midwest region. Her works has won many awards and most recently the 27th Annual Juried Exhibit with the National Collage Society.
